"The past is our definition. We may strive, with good reason, to escape it, or to escape what is bad in it, but we will escape it only by adding something better to it."
Wendell Berry

College Credit

Experiential Education

How many college credits will you receive?

You will receive 15 credits directly through a partnership CELL has with Lesley University (see www.lesley.edu). Note: Northland College students receive credit directly through their home institution.

Each course syllabus is evaluated by Lesley faculty with expertise in the area of study, and reviewed and approved by the Provost. CELL works closely with Lesley to create college-level courses that challenge students to think imaginatively, while focusing on proactive solutions to local and global problems. In accordance with Lesley’s requirements, the primary academic instructors for our courses have a minimum of a master’s degree in the program’s field of study.

Course work is offered at the third-year (junior) level but is open to all college students.

Students receive instruction on how to apply for academic credit through Lesley University as part of the application/acceptance process. However, should you have further questions about academic credit, please contact us and we will be happy to provide additional information.
