My Action plan is to make the Texas Roadhouse my dad owns and runs as a managing partner as sustainable as possible. The restaurant chain already does a lot of great things sustainability wise but it also has a ton of flaws. I plan to make our restaurant more environmentally friendly by targeting 6 areas: to-go containers, recycling, composting, energy, utilities, and employee (team) outings. I chose to tackle this project because working at Texas Roadhouse is really a family business and the restaurant my dad is going to operate is not up and running yet. This gives me ample time to plan and I will be able to implement my ideas without having to change the way the business is currently being ran. Click here to read Hannah’s full action plan.
